The next step in becoming an EB-5 investor is to wait. During this time, USCIS will be reviewing your application and determining if you qualify. You will be asked to interview at the consulate in your country, and after you complete all these steps, USCIS will decide if you qualify to become an EB-5 investor and gain the appropriate visa.

Conditional Residents

Once you are an official EB-5 investor, you are approved to move you and your family to the US as conditional residents. You will be allowed to live in the US as conditional residents for two years after you have moved here. During this time, we or the other investment option that you choose will be busy using your investment to create and preserve jobs, thus stimulating the US economy. During this time, you can start to put down semi-permanent roots: enroll your kids in school, find a place to call home, and more.

Prove Creation of 10 Jobs

Before your two years of conditional residency come to a close, and more specifically ninety days before, you will need to provide proof of creating 10 jobs through your chosen EB-5 program by filing an I-829 form. Once proof is accepted, you and your family are official and permanent US residents! You will receive permanent green cards as proof of your residency. After living here for five years, your family is eligible to become US citizens.
